Madrid, May 27th, 2025 – Spanish startup Tendios, a fast-growing SaaS company transforming the public procurement process, has successfully raised €2 million in a funding round led by Easo Ventures, Ona Capital, and Archipelago Next, with follow-on investment from existing backers Lukkap Ventures and several Business Angels.
This funding will enable the company to invest further in technology to continue improving the platform, extending its capabilities, and integrating more stages of the public procurement lifecycle. The capital will also help consolidate Tendios’ expansion across Europe, where the company already serves several clients. Notably, existing investors like Lukkap Venture and several Business Angels have reaffirmed their commitment by participating in this round.
“At Easo Ventures, we’re excited to support Xavier and Albert by participating in Tendios’ current funding round,” said Gorka Ugalde from Easo Ventures. “In a short period of time, the founders have shown exceptional ability, not only in building a solid product but also in executing a customer acquisition strategy that effectively addresses a real and pressing need experienced daily by many companies in our ecosystem.”
In 2025, Tendios aims to continue growing at a 15% month-over-month rate, while maintaining 100% customer retention. At the same time, the company plans to expand its team with strategic hires, focusing on implementing AI-driven solutions to maximize productivity and optimize internal processes.
The company currently has 30 employees and hundreds of clients, including major bidding companies such as Telefónica, Acciona, SEAT, Ford, AXA, and Otis. On the public side, institutions like Diputació de Barcelona, ADIF, the Ministry of Defense, and Ports of the Balearic Islands have also placed their trust in Tendios to help streamline and modernize their public procurement processes.
“We want to thank our investors for the trust they’ve placed in Tendios and for their ongoing support in driving our mission forward,” said Albert Riera, Co-CEO at Tendios. “Our goal is to use technology with AI to strengthen public-private collaboration and empower public procurement professionals who are working toward a shared objective: efficient public spending, transparency, open competition, and non-discrimination.”
Tendios, from 3 to 30 employees in just 2 years
Founded in the heart of Barcelona in 2023, Tendios is a fast-growing startup with a clear mission: to transform how private companies and public institutions manage the complex world of public procurement. Its goal is simple yet ambitious, to turn public procurement from a bureaucratic burden into an efficient and simple engine for growth.
Tendios aims to be more than just a platform that simplifies public contracting with artificial intelligence. It’s working to become an all-in-one, one-stop shop for procurement. Whether it’s a public authority acting as a contracting entity or a private company submitting a bid, every step of the process can be managed within the Tendios platform.
The idea was born in 2022, when Xavier Creus personally experienced the pain of dealing with long, opaque, and difficult bidding processes. His frustration became an opportunity to apply technology to simplify what has traditionally been a bureaucratic labyrinth. That’s how the idea for a SaaS platform specialized in public procurement, powered by AI and designed for both B2B bidders and B2G entities, came to life.
In 2023, Albert Riera, also an industrial engineer, joined the project as Co-Founder and Co-CEO. The two shared a clear vision of both the problem and the solution: eliminate complexity, enhance efficiency, and maintain full legal compliance throughout the process.
With Albert’s arrival, Tendios sharpened its focus and reinforced its mission to simplify public procurement for all stakeholders, through the power of AI. “Public procurement represents around 20% of Spain’s GDP. If we can remove the barriers, we’re unlocking one of the country’s most powerful engines for economic growth,” says Xavi Creus, Co-CEO of Tendios.
